Terms of Service

Raincouver Roof Cleaning Co. LTD. ("Raincouver" or "We" or "Us" or "Our") provides this website (the "Site") to inform visitors about our services, including roof cleaning, gutter cleaning, gutter repair, and light installation. By accessing and using the Site, you ("You" or "User" or "Customer") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Roof Cleaning

At Raincouver, taking the best care of your roof is always our top priority. We understand that roof tiles vary widely in shape, type and material, so we assess each roof to determine the most appropriate and effective cleaning method. Our approach may include low-pressure cleaning or a scraping-flicking method using a nylon wire brush, depending on the roof's surface type and condition. For delicate surfaces, we use a scraping-flicking method with a nylon wire brush to gently remove moss and debris, while for more robust surfaces like concrete, cement, and clay tile, we utilize a low-pressure cleaning system. We evaluate the condition of your roof and discuss any pre-existing damages with you before commencing work, and based on this assessment, we determine the best approach for cleaning your roof.

2. Pressure Washing

At Raincouver, we provide professional pressure washing services for a variety of surfaces, including concrete, block paving, decking, slate, granite, render, porcelain, artificial grass, sandstone, tarmac, limestone, stucco, brick, siding, fences, and many more. Our team uses specialized equipment and techniques to effectively clean these surfaces without causing damage. Our pressure washing machines are self-contained and gas-powered, eliminating the need for the customer’s electricity. We also ensure that our equipment operates within the city's bylaw-regulated decibel levels, minimizing disruptions to you and your neighbors. The pressure used for cleaning depends on the surface type, and we prioritize using a higher volume of water (GPM) over high pressure (PSI) to achieve a thorough clean without damaging surfaces.

3. Gutter Cleaning

At Raincouver, our gutter cleaning services include the manual removal of dirt and debris from gutters and checking downspouts for clogs. We also offer an advanced gutter vacuum system, which allows us to clean gutters from the ground without the need for ladders. This system is powered by our own generator, eliminating the need for external electricity. Our gutter cleaning service is limited to gutter and downspout cleaning only. We do not clean drainage pipes, and customers may need to hire separate drainage experts to address any issues with their drainage system. Regular maintenance is recommended to prevent buildup and potential damage. We use either manual cleaning or our gutter vacuum system to remove debris from gutters and downspouts. The gutter vacuum system is a safe and efficient method that minimizes the risk of damage to gutters and surrounding surfaces. Cleaning the outside of gutters is a separate service that requires a specific booking and quote. If you require removal of grime and streaks from the outside of your gutters, we use a window cleaning brush and telescopic pole to achieve a thorough clean. Please note that this service is not included in our standard gutter cleaning package.

3. Gutter Repair

Our gutter repair services include basic repairs using either customer-provided materials or materials purchased by Raincouver. Customers have the option to provide their own materials, or we can purchase them on their behalf. Please note that Raincouver is not responsible for the quality of materials, whether they are provided by the customer or purchased by us. We ensure that all repairs are conducted to the best of our ability, but we are not liable for any issues arising from the use of substandard materials or pre-existing damage.

5. Light Installation

Our light installation services include the installation of lights using either customer-provided materials or materials purchased by Raincouver. Customers have the option to provide their own materials, or we can purchase them on their behalf. Please note that Raincouver is not responsible for the quality of materials, whether they are provided by the customer or purchased by us. We ensure proper installation and safety measures are followed, but we are not liable for any issues arising from faulty materials or pre-existing electrical issues.

6. Biocide Chemical Treatment

As part of our commitment to long-lasting results, all roof cleaning services include a biocide treatment—often involving sodium hypochlorite—to eliminate any remaining organic growth and help prevent its return for up to 1.5 years. Similarly, after pressure washing, we apply a biocide treatment to the cleaned surfaces to target any residual algae, mold, and lichen. This treatment helps inhibit future biological growth, keeping your surfaces cleaner and well-maintained for longer.

7. Eco-friendly Practices

We are committed to eco-friendly practices across all our cleaning services. When using treatments such as sodium hypochlorite or biocide—whether for roof cleaning or pressure washing—we pre- and post-rinse surrounding vegetation to prevent damage. Containment systems are used to capture runoff and ensure proper wastewater disposal, while chemical usage is minimized wherever possible. We also take extra precautions to protect nearby surfaces, landscaping, and sensitive areas by using tarps and other protective measures, ensuring a safe and environmentally responsible work environment.

8. Customer Responsibilities

If large furniture or obstructions need to be moved to perform our job, it is the customer's responsibility to relocate these items to allow access and move them back to their original position after the job is completed. This ensures that our team can work efficiently and safely.

9. Debris Removal

Upon completion of the roof cleaning process, all fallen debris around the property is carefully collected and placed into lawn bins. Debris removed from gutters and downspouts is also thoroughly gathered and disposed of in the same manner. If any debris splashes or falls onto a neighboring property, we ensure it is promptly cleaned up, maintaining a clean, respectful, and tidy work area for both our clients and their neighbors.

10. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of services.

11. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel our services free of charge if you notify us at least one (1) day in advance.

12. Disclaimer of Liability

Raincouver carries third-party insurance to protect against damage or injuries resulting from our services. In the event of any damage or injury, our liability shall be limited to the extent of our insurance coverage. While we take the utmost care to protect your property and surfaces, please note that we are not responsible for pre-existing damage. We are not liable for any damage during roof cleaning, pressure washing, or gutter services if it results from the existing condition of the roof, surface, or gutters, including issues caused by prior neglect or lack of maintenance.
